What is Wellness
The path to well-being requires attention to balance (health) and change (healing). The choices for achieving change is as much concerned with your inner being, as it is about your outer doing. It is about identifying a personal vision of what wellness is to you. It is about facing challenges, overcoming obstacles, commitment to your path, and identifying your own strengths that will motivate you in this journey of health and healing. A vision of wellness will continue to pull you forward in your journey.

Wellness is a process. – a developing awareness that there is not an end point, but that health and happiness are possible in each moment, here and now.
Wellness is the loving acceptance of yourself.
Wellness definition developed by Dr. Halbert L. Dunn in the 1950s. Dunn defined wellness as:
“an integrated method of functioning which is oriented toward maximizing the potential of which the individual is capable. It requires that the individual maintain a continuum of balance and purposeful direction within the environment where he is functioning.”
