Change: Contemplation or Action

What is required for positive change?

Change begins with one small, consistent step. It is moving in the right direction. This direction is based on your life values, and what you chose to be a vision. If it makes you happy, it is worth moving toward. It is worth the effort and commitment.

A little bit every day.

CHANGE IS MOVEMENT

Contemplation:

  • What am I thinking?
  • What am I feeling?
  • What am I doing?
  • How is it working?

Motivation and Inspiration:

  • To be inspired must truly come from within?
  • Either you want it bad enough, or you don’t.

Action:

  • Active steps and attention are given to some behavioral change.
  • Establish boundaries and priorities that are true to your personal vision.

Ask yourself, what is the benefit of remaining attached to your present behavior or perspective? Write down the pros and cons of your present situation. It is not easy to move to a new area that feels uncomfortable. Give attention to these feelings. It may be uneasy, but this lets you know that it may be in the right direction.

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.   – Victor Frankl
